A little About me

About me I am Emily, 32 years old, married mother of two. I studied food science in college and got my master's degree in nutrition. I am now a baker, blogger, and food photographer. I live in Montclair with my small family of four: my husband, my oldest daughter, my youngest son, and my cat. I was working full-time as a call center agent when I gave birth. My youngest son was ill at the time, so I decided to leave my job. I have always loved food, so I had the idea to start a blog to share my recipes with friends and family. My friend Anna was the source of motivation and cooperation to create this blog, and I created the blog Emily at Home.

Why Emily At Home?

As a child, I would spend hours watching my mom and aunt, who lived with us at the time, prepare their sweets and snacks in the kitchen. Since then, I loved cooking at home and tried to teach myself. I started by learning to cook, preparing easy recipes like milk chocolate chip cookies and vanilla cupcakes, and I studied food science. Eventually, I started creating my own recipes. I learned to cook, bake, and create great recipes through lots of trial and error. I am very committed to providing tried and true recipes and sharing everything I have learned.
